Jennifer Podraza Sprouse of Charlottesville, VA passed away suddenly on July 11, 2024. Jennifer Leigh Podraza was born on June 28,1974 in Mount Holly, New Jersey to Bonnie Johnson Podraza and Felix Michael Podraza of Charlottesville, VA. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Harvey A. and Geneva S. Johnson and paternal grandparents Felix J. and Stella K. Podraza, cousin Kristen L. Johnson and Aunt, Sharon M. Hughes (Ciocia) and special grand-cat “Jack”. She is survived by her loving parents, Bonnie and Felix (Flex) Podraza, her dedicated, loving and supportive husband of 26 years, James A. Sprouse, Jr. of Charlottesville, VA. Jamie was her rock, high school sweetheart and the love of her life. Also surviving are her beloved children Carleigh J. Sprouse of Charlottesville, VA and Joshua (Josh) M. Sprouse of Verona, Wisconsin whom she thought the world of. Her sister Johy Podraza Betts and husband Bryan, nephew Luke, all of Charlottesville and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who loved her dearly.Jennifer was a graduate of Albemarle High School class of 1993 and CATEC, where she studied culinary arts. After graduation, Jennifer worked in culinary positions at Food Lion, Our Lady of Peace, the former Heritage Hall and Albemarle County Public Schools.Jennifer had a contagious smile, laugh and a heart of gold. Despite the health conditions she was dealt in life, she always had a positive attitude and handled it all with a smile on her face. Jennifer will be remembered for her decades long love for the band Def Leppard, music, movies, Disney, cross stich, cooking, reading, video games, but most of all family and friends. Special thank you to all of the devoted friends and family who have helped during this difficult time. We couldn’t do it without you. Jennifer Leigh you are loved, you are missed, but will forever be in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held Sunday July 21, 2024 from 11am-1pm at Teague Funeral Home. Jennifer’s favorite color was purple. If you want to wear something purple, please do so in her honor. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the Madison-Greene County Humane Society (Ruckersville, VA).
