Richard Alexander Havasy

Richard Alexander Havasy, 83 of Louisa, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 6, 2026 at his residence. Born March 24, 1943 in Flushing, New York he was the son of the late Stephen and Virginia Havasy. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Judith Cain Havasy. Dick was a retired welder and a master craftsman who could fix or make anything! He was a member of the Servants of Christ Baptist Church and a Master Free Mason. Dick never missed spending time with family or a good fishing trip.

He is survived by his son Richard A. Havasy, Jr. and his wife Suzanne Chaney Havasy. His twin brother Jerry Havasy and wife Geraldine, brother Charles Havasy and wife Susan, brother Fred Havasy and wife Mary, sister Sophia Havasy and wife Alisa, sisters-in-law Linda and Mary Havasy and several cousins, nephews and nieces he always loved like grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his brothers Stephen and Jimmy Havasy.

Dick loved his family, the lord, and his friends. He enjoyed his time being a part of Servants of Christ Baptist Church and as formerly representing the Green Springs District of Louisa on the Board of Supervisors.

A celebration of life for Richard and Judith will be announced at later time. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Servants of Christ Baptist Church at 60 Sommerfield Drive, Zion Crossroads, VA 22942 or your favorite charity.
