Peggy Richardson

Peggy Lee Richardson, born on November 26, 1936, in Clay, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026. Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Lyles Johnson, her beloved sister, Evelyn (Jimmy) Smith, and son-in-law Fred Terrien. She is survived by her loving children: Robert Mark Smith, Ryne Richardson (Lillian), Lisa Marie Terrien, and Jeff Richardson. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Robert Terrien, Timothy Richardson(Hannah), Jessica Winters (Corey), JJ Richardson, and Wesley Smith; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Karson and Emily Gallimore. Peggy is also survived by her special niece, Jennifer Blackard (Kelby), and beloved dog, Belle. Peggy proudly served her country in the United States Army as a Private. Following her military service, she worked for the United States Department of Agriculture as an Administrative Secretary. Later in life, she became the owner of her own cleaning business, where her strong work ethic and dedication were admired by many. She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and devoted much of her time to animal rescue efforts, fostering and transporting dogs in need of loving homes. Peggy found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, hosting holiday dinners, traveling, and visiting with her only sister. Peggy will be remembered for her caring heart, feistiness, devotion to her family, love of animals, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Graveside service will be held at 11 am at Culpeper National Cemetery on June 1, 2026.
