Hilda L. Utz

Hilda Mansfield Utz, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was born on July 21, 1932, in Orange, Virginia, to Aubrey C. Lohr and Mary Mansfield Lohr.

She married her husband of 70 years, Robert L. Utz, on December 29, 1950. She was a lifelong member of Stockton Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as crocheting and planting flowers in beautiful weather.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Jefferson (Eddie); grandchildren, Ashby (Tinka), Ana (Joe), and Aron (Al); great-grandchildren, Brent, Gabrielle, Melody, Zoey, Parker, Noah, and Naomi; and her lifelong friend, Shirley Chinault.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Utz; and her siblings, Cleveland D. Lohr, Leonard E. Lohr, Helen Lohr Wyatt, and Hazel Lohr Walker.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at North Pamunkey Baptist Church, 15109 Pamunkey Lane, Orange, Virginia 22960.
