Darlene Evelyn Meade, 69, of Ruckersville, VA, passed away on July 16, 2026, at her residence. She was born on July 27, 1956, in Washington, D.C. She was raised by her grandparents, Ohmer Oscar Jackson and Evelyn Beahm Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Meade; her daughter, Candace Meade; her sons, Calvin “Bino” Garrett, and Caleb Meade; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 12 pm. Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren, 616 Cedar Grove Road, Ruckersville, VA. 22968. Pastor Johnny Hawkins will officiate. Preddy Funeral Home of Madison is assisting the family.
