Brenda C. French (nee Browne) died on Sunday April 14, 2024. She was born on May 16, 1940 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, which is where she grew up. She was a graduate of Northfield School for Girls, and later received her degree in Mathematics from University of New
Hampshire, as well as an MBA from Simmons College. During her career, she worked as a Logistics Manager in the computer industry, pioneering the way for women in leadership positions. Within this role, she was able to travel overseas and immerse herself in different

Brenda spent the majority of her retirement in Eastport, Maine, the easternmost city in the continental United States. This beautiful seaside town faces the southeast precipice of Nova Scotia, Canada. In Eastport, she participated in numerous organizations, such as the Literacy
Roundtable, the Eastport Garden Club and the St. Croix Garden Club. She also served on the Boards of Directors of the Quoddy Maritime Museum and the Eastport Healthcare Center.

She recently moved to Crozet, Virginia with her life-long companion David Addison to be closer to their family. She was a very talented, avid knitter, embroiderer, and quilter, who chose to devote her time to make hundreds of baby hats and blankets for children's hospitals in both
Maine and Virginia.

She will be interred in Newburyport, Massachusetts, in a cemetery where several of her previous generations reside. She is survived by her long term partner David W. Addison, and her son Richard E. French. She is also survived by Jane Addison and Gene Poplaski, Leslie Addison and Jim Sullivan, Daniel Addison, Mary and Jim Boschetti, Edwina Addison-Vita and John Vita, Sam and Nancy Addison, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
