Eunice Breeden

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the death of Eunice Breeden of Madison, Va. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 27, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born on June 23, 1940 in Greene County to the late Jack Breeden and Lillie Belle Shifflett Breeden. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Fanny Frances Morris Breeden; two children, a child lost in miscarriage and daughter Rosa Beauchamp; son-in-law, Ray Jenkins, one grandchild; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Breeden Dorman, Evelyn Mae Breeden Sheler, Mabel Jane Breeden Morris; brothers, Bobby Breeden and Francis Breeden.
He is survived by daughters, Lilly Jenkins of Greene County, Susan Wynkoop and husband Joe of Madison, and Judy Policaro of Green County; sons, Reuben Breeden and wife Debra of Sacramento, Ky., Jason Breeden and fiancee’ Lisa of Madison, Joseph Breeden of Madison; son-in-law, Steven Beauchamp of Orange; brother, James Breeden of West Va.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Jeff Shifflett officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
