Linda J. Lowman

October 13, 1950 - February 29, 2024

Linda Lowman passed away peacefully at her home in Arrington VA on February 29, 2024. Her loss was unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.

Linda is survived by her loving partner Ken Comfort and her golden retriever Jax, her two sisters Norma Mckenney (her husband Bob), and Carol Miller-Meads. Linda’s nieces and nephews were like her own children and included Cliff Mckenney and his wife Katie Mckenney, Scott Miller, Erica Puglese and her husband Nick Puglese.

Linda was predeceased by her mother Ann Saylor and her father Sherman Johnson, her brother Sherman Johnson, Jr and her niece Jennie Lee McKenney.

Linda graduated Lane High School in 1969 and received an Associate’s Degree from University of Virginia. Linda worked as a legal secretary at several companies and retired as the Law Office Administrative Manager for The Hartford Staff Legal Office in Glen Allen Virginia in 2018. Linda was a dedicated and hard-working employee (a work ethic she always said she inherited from our Mom). Linda loved interacting with people and was a good friend to many. She always kept in touch and checked up on us all, family and friends. She loved giving back to her community and volunteered for the Southeastern Virginia Golden Retriever Rescue. She collected and donated for families less fortunate at Christmas in Richmond VA and Nelson County. Linda loved cooking, and a good glass of wine while listening to dancing music. Her happy place was the farm and the beach. Her favorite saying was “Bless their heart”

Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her wide network of friends.

A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family.

Linda Lowman 1950 - 2024

My mind still talks to you

My heart still looks for you

but my soul knows you are at peace.

Much loved, desperately missed,

forever in my heart.
