Sharon Morris Gibson

Sharon Morris Gibson, aged 77, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Born July 22, 1946 in Charlottesville, Virginia, she was preceded in death by her parents; Hazel Pauline Morris and John Thomas Morris; her husband Bernard Gibson, Sr.; a daughter, Telisa Gibson; a great granddaughter, Arianna Peyton; a sister, Vera Madison, and two brothers, Donnie Morris and Richard Morris.

Sharon is survived by her children; Bernard “BC” Gibson and Vicki Williams (Kenneth Bottoms, Jr.), and a granddaughter she raised as her own, Shernita Gibson; one brother, Bobby Morris (Becky), grandchildren; Wyatt Gibson, Jessi, Chris, and Michael Shifflett, Shayna Mayberry (Jason), Shayla Williams, Kenneth Bottoms, III (Josie); great-grandchildren, Leah Stowe, Jakob Johnson, Jam, Cobi, Lorelei, and Bellah Mayberry, and Little Fella.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11AM Monday, June 24th, 2024 in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Free Union, Virginia with Larry Morris officiating.

Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont.
