Anne C. Evick

July 25, 1938 - November 25, 2023

Anne C. Evick, 85, departed this earthly life for her heavenly home with Jesus on November 25, 2023. Her devoted husband James was by her side.

Anne was born in Staunton, VA on July 25, 1938. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Micheal Corbin; her father, Claude D. Corbin; and brothers, Jimmy Corbin and Harry Corbin.

As a little girl, Anne knew her calling was to be a nurse. After graduating from Mary Baldwin University with a Nursing Degree she started her career as a dedicated nurse at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. She cared for and comforted patients and their families for over 43 years until her retirement.

Anne loved the beach and times spent with her family at the Outer Banks. Her most favorite time of year was Christmas. She was also an avid reader and active member in her beloved church, Jefferson Park Baptist, until her health failed.

Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32: “be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ”.

She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all whose lives she touched.

Anne is survived by her husband of 63 years, James D. Evick; daughter, Stephanie Easter(Paul) ;sons, Anthony Evick(Cindy) and Bradly Evick; grandchildren Austin Evick(Janet), Tyler Evick(Caroline), and Candice Evick; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Evick and Levi Evick, as well as much extended family.

Funeral service will be held at Jefferson Park Baptist Church in Charlottesville on December 5, 2023. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with church service starting immediately afterward, then graveside service at Monticello Memorial Gardens.
