Robert Joseph Kreitz, III,

Robert Joseph Kreitz, III, 41 of Griffinsburg, Va., passed away unexpectedly due to a heart complications on Monday, July 17, 2023 at UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1981 in Gettysburg, Pa. He also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert J. Kreitz, Sr. and Frances Lucie Kreitz; maternal grandparents, Merlin and Grace Shull; mother-in-law, Elaine Dodson, and aunt, Lorene Dodson.

He is survived by his parents, Robert Joseph Kreitz, Jr. of WVA. and Mary Elizabeth Martin of Pa.; wife, Amanda Dodson Kreitz; two children, Abigail Kreitz and Dawson Kreitz; sisters, Wendi Lawver (George Riley), Susan Lawver, Amanda Kreitz (Jeremy Teter); two sisters-in-law, Ashley Jones (Mac) and Taylor Dodson (Michael); father-in-law, Archie Dodson (Kelly); and a number of nieces and nephews, especially his niece, Aubree, whom he thought of like a daughter.

Robert was a landscaper with Dodson’s Landscaping for 22 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the lottery, going to 7-11 for his coffee, being a jack of all trades, but most importantly he loved to spend his time with his wife and two children. Robert will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at his home in Griffinsburg.
