Barbara Spears

Barbara B Spears, age 81, of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Barbara was born July 3, 1943 to the late Donald Wade, and Fay Richardson Bourne.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband James G. Spears, sister Nancy Wiebel, sister in laws Thelma Bourne, and Mae Gormes, nephew Randy Wiebel, great niece Olivia Marconi, and special cat Dixie.

Barbara is survived by her sons Bobby (Lisa), and Michael (Sarah), brothers Donald Bourne and Keith (Sheila) Bourne, brother in laws, Hubert Gormes, Rusty Wiebel, and Earl (Charlotte) Spears, grandson Matthew Spears "the Boy", special friends Mary Rhodes and Flossie Thomas.

Last but not least her two cats Luke, and Maggie "her pride and joy".

Barbara was a member of Alberene Baptist Church and loved her church family. She also retired from the University of Virginia Housing Division.

There will be a Graveside Service for Barbara on Wednesday March 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Monticello Memory Gardens 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902, with Pastor Jeff Cale officiating.
