Betty Massie Drake, 85, of Charlottesville, Va., passed away at home on April 15, 2024. Betty was born on June 28, 1938, in Staunton, Va. to the late Glenwood and Nora Lee (Steele) Massie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Drake and brother Glenn Massie. Betty is survived by her sister Carolyn Vass (Dennis Whitley) and daughters Michele (Mark) Desgain and Cathie (Kevin) Jackson. She is also survived by grandsons Adam (Kandace) Desgain, Chase Desgain, Zachary Desgain, and Morgan Jackson. Also surviving are great grandsons Rylan and Kelby Desgain and great granddaughter Blakeley. Also surviving is her nephew, Marc Vass.All services will be private.
