Betty Nixon Estes

Betty Nixon Estes, 95 of Madison, Va., passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at her home. She was born on January 29, 1929 to the late William Alfred Nixon and Nina Hall Nixon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Russell Estes; son, Stuart Russell Estes; brothers, Silas Nixon, Earl Nixon, Robert Nixon, William Nixon; sisters, Ethel Alexander, Alice Roberts, Mabel Loeffler, Elizabeth Kidd, and Virginia May Nixon

Betty worked for many years at Jefferson National Bank in Madison, Va.

She is survived by her daughter, Jill Denise Estes of Grottoes, Va.; sons, Craig N. Estes, Darrell T. Estes and wife Valerie, all of Madison; Spencer Estes of Haywood, and Jay Wayne Estes of Chase City, Va.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Unionville Christian Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
