Beverly Anne Beeton
Beverly Anne Beeton was conceived at the Cavalier Hotel during her parents, Lionel Elwood Beeton and Christine Virginia Coffee’s honeymoon, in Virginia Beach, Virginia and then born on March 12, 1934 in Washington DC. She was a woman of the world, drawn to the water whether it be in London, Bermuda, the Bahamas, the lakes of Michigan, or the rivers of Virginia and Maryland, but always to Virginia Beach.
She was able to spend the week of June 17 to 24, 2023 at Virginia Beach, in a room with an unobstructed view of the ocean, surrounded by her family, before leaving this world on July 3, 2023. Known variously as Beverly, Bev, BB, Babs, mom, Bonesy and Bonesita, she had an enormous capacity to love. She saw the good in everybody and saw the beauty in everything. She left a legacy of that love in three children: Michael, Anne and Benjamin Harrison; five grandchildren: Toni Anne Harrison, Joseph and Christina Benedict, Alexander Harrison and Christian Harrison; one great-grandchild: Madelyn Benedict; as well as the other family members that she adopted through life experience: William, Debbie, Joanne, Ming, Mario, Sisi, Rich and Lucy, as well as the animals too numerous to name. She left us a tribute to her artistry in her poetry, paintings, drawings, sculpture, roles in the theater both on stage and off, as well as a boundless collection of photography capturing the essence of her being. Tributes to Beverly are welcome, whether monetary (to virtually any charity) or doing a good deed or nurturing a plant or animal.
Funeral arrangement are by Hill and Wood with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023.
