Brenda was born on November 1, 1957, to the late Cornelius Alexandria Houchens and Bertha Lean Henson-Houchens. Brenda was preceded in death by her sons, Kevin Jackson and Daniel Jackson, and her brother, Larry Houchens. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, caregiver, and friend. Brenda will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, warm spirit, compassionate heart, and the love she shared with others. She dedicated her life to caring for those around her and found great joy in her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved gathering with family around home-cooked meals and treasured the special bond she shared with her sisters, including their annual sisters’ coming-together weekend filled with love, laughter, and memories. From Brenda’s union with Mike Jackson, they were blessed with four sons. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Randy Jackson and wife Monica and Anson "Sticky" Jackson; grandchildren, Jeremy Houchens, Kia Jackson, Randy Jackson, Jr. (RJ), Shanette Lewis, Kendrick Jackson, Elijah Jackson, Saniyah Brooks, Jamir Jackson; great-children, Kaydence Cartwrght, Tristan Jackson, Kyren Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Zimira Lewis, Kennedi Jackson, Kairo Page; siblings, Franklin Houchens, Cathy Jackson, Ada Houchen, Christine Houchensm, Alice Houchen, Claudia Payne and husband Marshall, Gladys Wooden and husband Matt. Brenda’s legacy of love, compassion, and family will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
