Brian Kenneth Blair

December 30, 1942 - January 3, 2024

Brian Blair, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Born on December 30, 1942, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Florence Meloling Blair of Liverpool, NY. Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Blair. Brian’s survivors include Linda Auten Blair, wife of 58 years, sons Kevin (Barb) and Kenneth (Lisa), daughter, Briana (Dave)Locke and honorary son, Otto (Rochelle) Herr, grandchildren, Austin Blair, Raechel Blair, Gabriella Locke, Clayton Locke, Makayla Blair, Anni Blair and the honorary grandchildren, Harrison, Haley, Isobel and Konrad Herr.

Brian graduated from Liverpool High School in 1961. He served in the US ARMY from 1964-66. He worked at Carrier Air Conditioning Corporation for 35 years as a sheet metal technician. He retired and moved to Louisa, VA in 1999 and began work at WA Lynch Roofing Co. in Charlottesville for 10 years. 

Brian loved his family, friends, and music but above all, his love for God gave him the most joy and peace that he wanted to share with others. He had a true interest in antique woodworking tools and enjoyed many hours of shopping and collecting them. His RATS (Richmond Area Tool Society) membership was special to him and he met many friends in the club that shared the same interest in tools.

The funeral is planned for 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 11 at McDow Funeral Home, 1701 West Main Street, Waynesboro, VA. Ministers Deborah Wentz and Franklin Zimmerman, will officiate. The visitation will be Wednesday, January 10 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. at McDow.
The burial at Monticello Memory Gardens at 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville will be held following the funeral.
