Charles Landon Antrobus
Charles Landon Antrobus (Link) of Charlottesville, died Wednesday April 10, 2024.
He was born June 19, 1934 in Waynesboro, VA to the late Hazel and Russell Antrobus.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann, and a brother Bob.
He is survived by his three daughters, Georganne Griffin of Raleigh, Catherine DeBoer of Richmond, Becky Kwiatkoski of Charlottesville, their loving spouses, a brother Randy, six grandchildren and their spouses, as well as two Great grandchildren.
Link was a member of the armed forces and served in Paris, France. He spent most of his professional life as the co-owner of City News in Charlottesville.
Link acquired a Life Masters playing duplicate bridge for many years. He was an avid golfer and later in his life worked as a Ranger at Birdwood Golf Club. Link enjoyed betting and watching sports with his family and close friends.
Link’s personality was vibrant and fun. He was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed his life to the very end.
Link was a member of The Church of Our Savior. There will be a Visitation on Friday, April 19th at Teague Funeral Home from 5 to 7pm. The funeral service will be held at The Church of Our Savior on Saturday, April 20th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of Our Savior, 1165 Rio Rd E, Charlottesville, VA.
