In 1968 he moved to Charlottesville, Virginia to join Associated Cemetery Estates where he managed both Holly Memorial Gardens and Monticello Memory Gardens for over 30 years. Chuck served as President of the Virginia Cemetery Association from 1994 to 1996.
Chuck was an avid outdoorsman with a love of hunting and outdoor activities. He loved bird hunting trips with one of his four dogs, Jack, Jill, Schuyler, or Smokey, and we are grateful that he will be reunited with his dogs at the Rainbow Bridge. The family would like to extend its gratitude to English Meadows in Crozet for the loving care they provided him over the last 2 years. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Charlottesville- Albemarle SPCA in his honor.
