Corina Shifflett Morris
Corina Shifflett Morris, 89 of Stanardsville, Va. went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2024 surrounded by family in her home. She was born on February 26, 1935 in Greene County to the late Octavie Shifflett and Bertie Roach Shifflett. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Etolia (“Tony”) Berry and Frances Lucille Roach; two brothers, Hubert Daniel Shifflett and Hobert Scott Shifflett; and niece Anna Pullen.
She retired from Frank IX and Sons in 1999. She would help her nieces occasionally in their cleaning business. She was a very loving and giving person who would always put others first. She never met a stranger. Corina loved spending time with family and friends and loved to take rides spontaneously and then enjoyed eating out.
She is survived by her nephew, John W. Roach, Jr. (Jay) and Wanda Bryant and her nieces Gay Baker and husband Scott, Shirley Hensley and husband Marvin, and Lisa Custalow. She is also survived by a number of grand-nephews, Harlan Roach, Landon Roach, Jordon Baker, Jonathan Baker, Scott Pullen and David Lonnie Paschall. She also leaves behind special friends, Madeline Shifflett, Travis Shifflett, and Ginny Dean.

Pallbearers will be Harlan Roach, Landon Roach, Jordan Baker, Jonathan Baker, Scott Pullen, and Travis Shifflett. Honoray pallbearers will be friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Interment will be in First Mission Pentecostal Holliness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at funeral home.
