Dallas Davner Collier

Dallas Davner Collier, 82 of Ruckersville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was born on October 26, 1941 to the late George Herbert Collier and Lettie Smith Collier. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ennis Collier, Elbert Collier, and Delma Collier; sisters, Mabel Shifflett, Hildred Lam, Earl Jean Collier, and Lillian Collier.

Dallas was employed at Monticello Dairy in Charlottesville for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Dallas enjoyed going to Nascar races with his wife. They also spent many weekends camping with friends. He loved his dog, “Smoke”

He is survived by his wife, Margie Collier of 61 years; sisters, Dolly Morris and Dorcas Dodson; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with interment in Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville. Pastor Eddie Deane will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
