Debbie, as she was affectionately known to all, was born on June 19, 1953 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Arlene Loretta Lewis. Her FaithAt an early age, Deborah accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of Union Baptist Church in Gordonsville, Virginia. Her faith was a treasured part of her life. Through every season, she held onto God and found strength in her faith. Her favorite songs, "Trust in God,'' "I Won't Complain," and "He Saw the Best in Me," beautifully reflected the faith she carried in her heart. Education & CareerDebbie was educated through the Orange County School System. She was a hardworking and dedicated woman who took great pride in providing for her family. She worked many years at Wrangler/Blue Bell Company until the company closed its doors. She then continued her working career with Nimbus Records and Hardee's. Deborah later became employed with Rigid Coleman in Orange, Virginia, where she faithfully worked until her retirement. Her Life & LegacyDebbie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She loved her family dearly and found great joy in the simple blessings of life. One of her favorite things was sitting on her front porch, watching her grandchildren and simply enjoying life. Those peaceful moments-watching them play, laugh, grow, and make memories-brought her tremendous joy. Those memories will forever remain in the hearts of her family. Debbie leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her girls, Monique "Dannie" Lewis (Malcolm) of Gordonsville, Virginia; Latrivva A. Lewis "Woody Wood" Latoya Lewis both of Charlottesville, Virginia, Kizzy Nixon (Jay) of Louisa, Virginia and one son Orlando Morris of Louisa, Virginia. Her Eternal HomeAlthough Debbie will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She lived her life believing in God, loving her family, and appreciating the blessings placed before her. Her earthly journey is complete, but the love she gave and the memories she created will continue to live on through generations." I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7And we believe she has heard those beautiful words: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
