Dennie Lee Clark
Dennie Lee Clark, 79, passed away Thursday February 8th 2024 in Fishersville, Virginia.
He was born January 8th 1945 in Buena Vista, Virginia to the late Elijah Clark and the late Mildred Roberts Clark. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Clark Gill and a daughter Faryn Clark.
Dennie was well known in the community many years ago as the "cable man" while he was employed by Jefferson Cable. He was a hard worker all of his life. He also worked for Branch Highway for years but he retired while working for Faulconer Construction.
Not long after his retirement his health started declining. He fought hard to keep his strength and his sense of humor. He was always coming up with some kind of joke or wise-crack to toss at you. He was one of a kind.
He struggled with diabetes, & throat cancer took his voice. A house fire took both of his legs during all of this his kidneys started to fail. He had been through so much and he was tired of fighting. He was a strong man for sure.
He was survived by his two daughters, Katrina and husband Frankie Wilson, Denise Clark; three brothers, Wayne, Melvin and Larry and wife Teresa Clark; five grandchildren, Travis Painter, Aaron Wilson, Amystic Wilson, Derrick Cook, Dakota Clark as well as 3 great-grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.
We are not having any service at this time and the burial will be private. We will be having a memorial to celebrate his life Friday at 3pm. We are trying to find a place to meet family and friends. Meeting place will be announced when it is set.
The family wants to extend a warm thank you to the hospice nurses who helped with Dennie.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations towards his burial.
