Dolly Sheffield Bradley

Dolly Sheffield Bradley, 83, of Afton passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Commonwealth Senior Living.

Dolly native to Nelson County was born on December 21, 1940 to the late James Ausbert Sheffield and Novella (Bryant) Sheffield.

Dolly had a servant’s heart, she was most happy when she was providing for others. She loved to cook, quilt, visit with friends and spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her son, Steven Taylor; her grandchildren Jennifer Whitlock and Christopher Graves, and her sister Vivian Martin.

Dolly is survived by her loving husband, Samuel A. Bradley; her daughters, Linda A. Taylor and Patricia A. Lawhorne; her sons, David A. Taylor, Timothy S. Taylor and Thomas S. Taylor; stepson, S. Vincent Bradley; stepdaughters, Cheryl Martin and Felicia Taylor; her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sisters, Margie Ryder and Ann Carter. Dolly is also survived by a daughter she loved as her own, Robin Fitzgerald.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway Charlottesville VA 22902.
