Edith Geneva Towles Pitcher

Edith Geneva Towles Pitcher 89, of Orange, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Orange. She was born on June 10, 1934, in Orange County, and was a daughter of the late Garfield Towles Sr., and Maggie Frye Towles, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Pitcher Sr., and a son, John Christopher Pitcher.

Mrs. Pitcher is survived by her daughter, Wanda P. Jones, of Orange, a son, Alexander Pitcher Jr., of Springdale MD., a brother, Rufus A. Towle Sr., of Orange, two sisters, Marva G. Towles, of IL., Shelby A. Minor, of Orange, and three grandchildren, Lisa Pitcher, Brian C. Jones, and Brandon L. Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family with arrangements.
