Edward Franklin Smulsky, Jr., 82, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 6, 2024 at his home.
He was born May 19, 1942 to the late Edward Franklin Smulsky, Sr. and Lucille (Claytor) Smulsky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelley (Via) Smulsky; and son, Edward Franklin Smulsky, III.
He graduated from Wilson High School in 1959, and later pursued electrical engineering at Valley Vocational and Technical School.
Mr. Smulsky worked for several years at DuPont, and served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed horse racing and was especially fond of the Kentucky Derby.
As were his wishes, there will be no formal services.
