Edward "Scottie" Scott Bowles

September 17, 1971 - December 13, 2023

Edward Scott Bowles, also known as Scottie Bowles, passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 52 in Goochland, VA. Born on September 17, 1971, in Henrico, VA in the Crestview Area, Scottie was a beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Scottie had an impressive career as a skilled master floor installer, gaining a reputation for his unmatched skills in the industry. He took after his brother Woody, following his footsteps into the flooring profession. Scottie's dedication and expertise were widely recognized and admired.

In addition to his professional achievements, Scottie had a passion for art. He would unleash his inner Picasso. He found solace and joy in drawing and painting. His creations were a reflection of his creative spirit and talent. Scottie's infectious smile and vibrant personality made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He was the kind of person that would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He lived life wide open, on his own terms, embracing every moment.

Scottie spoke highly of his children and took immense pride in their accomplishments. He is survived by his daughters, Christina Thurston, Cheyenne Greer, Cayla Bowles, Courtney Bowles, Haven Bowles, and his son, Dakota Bowles. Scottie will be cherished by his grandchildren, Rylen, Emory, Oaklyn, Remington, Axl, and Berkley. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Bowles-Aleman, and his brothers, Kenny Daniels, Mike Bowles. Scottie leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews, as well as 7 great nieces and nephews.

Scottie was preceded in death by his son, William Scott “Bubba” Bowles, his father, John Bowles, his mother, Rebecca Ann Bray Bowles, and his brother, William B “Woody” Bowles. Their memory will always be held close to the hearts of those who loved Scottie.

A ceremony to honor and celebrate Scottie's life will be held on:

December 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Passion Community Church, located at 2723 James Madison Highway, Bremo Bluff, VA 23022. Friends, family, and loved ones are invited to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to any Mental Health organization. Scottie believed in supporting these organizations that provide vital resources and assistance to those in need.

Scottie Bowles will be remembered as a skilled professional, a talented artist, and a loving family man. His infectious smile and vibrant personality will forever be missed. His spirit will continue to dance in our hearts, reminding us to live life to the fullest. Rest in peace, Scottie, and keep the dance floor rocking!
