Elizabeth Ann Wolfrey Hunt
Elizabeth Ann Wolfrey Hunt December 13, 2023
Elizabeth Ann Wolfrey Hunt, age 86, of Louisa, Va., passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, at home surrounded by family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born on February 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Burrus Wolfrey and Susie Emma Wolfrey.
Many of you may know her from the many, many years working at Louisa Laundry Maid. She would be the smiling face you would see every time you walked in the door. I don’t think there was anyone who met her that didn’t fall in love with her.
Elizabeth had a smile that would light up the room. No matter how bad of a day you would be having, when you saw her smile, it just changed your whole world. She will forever be missed, and she will forever be loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Almon F. “Pete” Hunt; son, Boyd G. “Jerry” Hart; a daughter, Susie Y. Hunt; six brothers, Henry Wolfrey, Robert “Bobby” Wolfrey, Kenneth Wolfrey, Lester Wolfrey, Elmer Burruss, Jr., and Roger Wolfrey; two sisters, Lucille Hoffman, and Alice M. “Auntie Ma” Hunt; and two sons-in-law, William “Eddie” Level, and Elwood “Moonie” Sprouse.
Elizabeth leaves behind to cherish her memory one son, Ray Hunt (Kitty); four daughters, Ruby Level, Alice Martyn (Billy), Matilda Sprouse, Judy Alley (Kenny); one daughter-in-law, Marie Hart; one sister, Carolyn Heath; 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Judy Alley, our undying gratitude for the many years you set things aside and took exceptional care of her. You will never know how grateful we are for what you have done. We thank you so very, very much from the bottom of our hearts. We will forever be grateful.
