Evlyn Frances Goodloe

Evlyn Frances Goodloe, age 88, of Gordonsville, VA, passed away on July 11, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born on October 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Lee Davis and Everlene Dickerson Davis.

Frances was the best maker of rolls, cakes, macaroni & cheese, and anything else that she cooked for family and friends. If you stopped by to visit, she made sure you left with a full belly. She was the best mother and grandma to all that came through her door.

Evlyn is survived by her son, James Walker Goodloe Jr.; her daughters, Frances “Vicky” Goodloe Polson, Patricia Goodloe Robey, and Dawn Elizabeth Goodloe; 10 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville, VA. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont or the American Heart Association.
