Frances Emiline Henshaw Smoot

Frances Emiline Henshaw Smoot, 78 of Reva, Va. passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at UVA Culpeper Hospital.  She was born on July 31, 1945 to the late James Henry Henshaw and Iola Marie Carpenter Henshaw.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette “Cubie” Jackson Smoot; brothers, Frederick Henshaw and James Henshaw, II; and sister, Mary Ann Henshaw McGuire.
Frances worked in various companies in the Culpeper area.  Her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Michael Leake of Novum; brothers, George R. Henshaw, Gorie P. Henshaw, John D. Henshaw; grandchildren, Jacob Michael Leake and Ryan Thomas Matney; and 8 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Novum Baptist Church with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Pastor Jeff Light will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
