Frances Harris Bibb

Frances Harris Bibb, 95, of Charlottesville, VA died on January 29, 2024, at Commonwealth Senior Living.

Born April 17, 1928, in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of Edward and Susie Newlen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Thornton Harris and Douglas Bibb, and her beloved siblings Charles and Betty Newlen.

Frances lived a full life. She was a proud employee of Sperry Marine. She had a deep love of her pets and cherished the multiple dogs that came into her life. Throughout her life she endorsed and gave to multiple charities with a caring heart toward others. Some of her favorite memories were traveling the country and she often went back to her childhood, reliving how much she loved to go fishing. She will be missed by family and friends.

Frances Bibb is survived by a son, James Harris and his wife Ramona of Beckley, WV, and their children and grandchildren Christopher Harris and his wife Cady, Eli, Kassie, Bently and Levi. A daughter, Susie Harris Bickers and her husband Don of Charlottesville, VA, and their children and grandchildren Jeffery Bickers and wife Cara, Steven Bickers and wife Wendy, Kelly Shepherd and husband Frank, Lauren, Savanna, Megan, Rachel, Baily, Olivia, Ava, and Noah.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11 am on February 3rd, 2024, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, VA, to be conducted by friend and Pastor Larry Wingfield.
