Frances Marie Watson

Frances M Watson, 86 years old, of Palmyra passed away on January 24th, 2024 at UVA Hospital after a long battle with Diabetes.

Born August 8th, 1937 in Charlottesville, Va., she was the daughter of Herbert and Freita Clatterbuck. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Roland, Billy, Paul, Lawrence, Marvin and one sister Pauline. Also, husband Howard and Son Randy Goff and 2nd husband Edgar Watson.

Frances is survived by one brother Harold Clatterbuck of Charlottesville, Va. Her twin sister Freita Shifflett of Charlottesville, Va. One daughter, Tammy Leake (Randall) of Palmyra, Va., and grandchildren Justin Leake (Marie) Of Shipman, Va., Brooke Albert (Brett) of Scottsville, Va., Hunter Leake (Cassidy) of Scottsville, Va. She had 8 great Grand Children; Elias and Annelise Albert, Katherine and Olivia Bickley, Elsie Mae Leake, Carson, Ginny, and Henley Leake; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; her special friend Tom and bonus daughter Valarie.

She worked in the medical field for over 30 years taking care of numerous patients. She always had a smiling face and loved everyone. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, gardening, and being with her family.

The family extends a thank you to the team at UVA Hospital for the support and dedication they had to her end of life care, and a special thank you to her church family and Pastor Johnny Hartless for supporting her through the years. Thank you to the Lake Monticello Rescue Squad for multiple trips to the hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on January 30th at Grace Baptist Church, followed by a Graveside Service at Holly Memorial Gardens.
