Gerard Carlson, 46, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2026. Gerard was surrounded by his beautiful family, friends, and USMVMC Brothers. Gerard is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Rogers Carlson; his loving daughter, Arianna Carlson; his loving stepchildren, Kayla McDaniel and her husband, Hunter, and Tucker Herr and his wife, Miranda; his loving mother, Susan Stege; his loving siblings, Coryann Carlson Cotter and her husband Tom, David Barron and his wife, Jennifer, Bobby Alfors and his wife, Chelsey, his sweet niece, Kayla Alfors and fiance Noah Allison, sweet nephew Mickey Alfors, numerous Aunts, cousins and family members, his beloved bonus granddaughters, Briele, Bexley, Blaise, Elsie, Ivorey, Huntley, Lydia, and Ledy, who lovingly called him Pawpaw Gerard, and our infamous George the Boerbel. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, friends, and military brothers. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Gerard’s memory to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, an organization whose mission of supporting our nation’s heroes and their families reflects the values Gerard held so deeply. Funeral Services for our beloved Gerard Carlson are Monday October 12, 2026 at 9:00am at Culpeper National Cemetery. Following the service a Celebration of Life will be held at Main Street Tavern in Orange, Va at 10:30am.
