Giuseppe "Joe" David Orsolini
Giuseppe “Joe” David Orsolini, 62, of Palmyra, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Born on August 17, 1962, he was the son of the late Ubaldo “Barlo” Carmine Orsolini and Mary Margaret Besancon Orsolini. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his late wife, Brenda Zohfeld Orsolini.
Joe became a Registered Radiologic Technologist in 1982 and has worked at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; St. Margarets Hospital in Chicago, IL; and The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He worked for UVA for 33 years and retired as an EPIC Senior IT Specialist this past January. Joe always worked in service of people. He was a very active volunteer at the Gordonsville station of the Orange County Volunteer Rescue Squad for ten years, where he earned his life membership. He ensured that these values of service and helping people were instilled in his children; all three of them work in healthcare today.
On his days off, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going on long walks in the neighborhood, spending time with his family, and looking forward to the next adventure.
Joe is survived by his wife, Shari Renee Slesnick-Orsolini; his daughter, Jessica Marie Orsolini (Kevin) of Palmyra, Virginia; his step-daughter, Kristyn Amann (Peter) of Glen Allen, Virginia; his sons, Joseph Michael Orsolini (Lauren) of Palmyra, Virginia, and Anthony Marc Orsolini of Bremo Bluff, Virginia; his brother, Michael Schromen (Debbie) of Park Forest, Illinois; his sisters Marilu Evans of Markham, Illinois, and Peggy Weber (Steve) of Flossmoor, Illinois; his grandchildren, Ciara Nicole and Christian Mitchell Henson of Palmyra, Virginia, Logan and Cayden Amann of Glen Allen, Virginia; his niece Jennie Ramirez of Bremo Bluff, Virginia, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
