Harold Taylor Bolden

Harold Taylor Bolden, age 66, of Gordonsville, Virginia, died on February 13, 2024 in Charlottesville.

Born on November 8, 1957 in Charlottesville, Virginia, he was the son of Charles Franklin Bolden and Doretha Taylor Dickerson. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his stepfather, Tom Dickerson; and two sisters, Susan B. Walker and Shirley D. Johnson.

Harold worked at numerous horse farms throughout his life. He was a diehard Cowboys fan as well as an enthusiastic supporter of the Orange County football and basketball teams. Harold also loved to fish in his spare time.

He is survived by his mother, Doretha Taylor Dickerson of Gordonsville; his goddaughter, Alsace T. Dickerson of Charlotte, NC; his brother-in-law, Clarence Junior Johnson of Gordonsville; his three brothers, Charles E. Bolden and his wife Peggy of Unionville, Frank A. Dickerson and his wife Wilhimenia of Gordonsville, and Thomas Christopher Dickerson of Gordonsville; numerous nieces and nephews; along with many other family members and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Woodberry Cemetery in Gordonsville with Pastor Robert Anthony officiating.
