Herbert Daniel Moon

Herbert “Tim” Daniel Moon Jr., 86, of Schuyler, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024.He is survived by his loving children, Tracy Roach and Timothy Moon (Kristin); four grandchildren, Jessica Willis (Garrett), Katelyn Craig (Brandon), Haley Beasley (Brandon), and Macie Moon; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Alyssa, Grady, Arabella, and William; his siblings Betty-Ann, Butch, and Charles; and his daughter-in-law and caretaker, Brenda Moon.He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Grant Moon; and his son, Bobby Moon.Prior to his retirement, Herbert drove for Tiger Fuel, dedicating 40 wonderful years to his career. Additionally, he spent 10 years on active duty with the Scottsville Fire Department, followed by an additional 20 years as an honorary volunteer.The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm, Friday, September 6, 2024, at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville.A graveside service will be held at 11am Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville.Memorial contributions may be made to Alberene Baptsit Church, 2128 Plank Road, North Garden.
