Hilda Rebecca “Becky” Dodson, 80 of Culpeper passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at UVA Culpeper Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1943 to the late Roy E. Dodson and Bertha Pearl Dodson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Clay Henry Dodson; brothers, Richard Dodson and William Dodson; sister, Rena Fergerson.

Hilda was a former employee of E. A. Clore & Sons and Woodberry Forest School. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Henry Mack Dodson; daughters, Jane Heath and husband Craig, Hilda Nicholson and husband Frank all of Madison, and May Nicholson and husband Regan of Barboursville; sons, Jamie Dodson and wife Candi and Charles Dodson, Sr. and wife Michelle, all of Madison; brothers, Rosevelt Dodson of WVa, and Ray Dodson of Richmond; sister, Bertha Jenkins of Culpeper; fourteen grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Richard Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Dodson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
