Homer Ray Patterson

Homer ( Joe) R. Patterson of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on November 5, 2024 at Martha Jefferson Hospital.Joe was born November 5, 1936 to the late Dudley Patterson, and Erma Patterson Kirby in Esmont, VA.Joe is preceded in death by his parents, and step children Bonnie Coleman and Michael Henry.Joe is survived by his wife of 52 years Addielayne Patterson, four sons William (Boh) (Debbie), Stephen (Terri), David (Rebecca, Chris (Amy), six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.Joe worked at Comdial for 28 years, Ron Martin Appliance 15 years, and Harris Teeter for 2 years before ultimately retiring for good.Joe loved his family, road trips to Nags Head, going on road trips with Addie, watching UVA sports, and Washington Football. Joe was a long time member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.A memorial service for Joe will be held on Friday November 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m., at Teague Funeral Service 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA 22903.
