James Edward Hill

James Hill peacefully departed this life Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Autumn Care in Madison, Va. James was born on May 14, 1957 to Caroline Jasper and the late Joseph Jasper Sr. He grew up in Madison, Va and was educated in the Madison County Public Schools,

James was a hard worker and began working at a young age at the Hatchery known as the Madison Chicken Factory. He also worked at the Wilson Farm Meat Company with his father “Foxy” in Catlett, Va and later worked for the Madison Flooring Company. His final job was being a health care provider for Bertha Simms which to him did not feel like a job, it just felt like taking care of family he loved.

As a young man James loved to dance and play sports. He loved to laugh, and his laugh was very distinct. He was a man with a heart of gold, he would do anything he could for anyone.

James was proceeded in death by his father Joseph Jasper Sr. and sister Rebecca Jasper.

He is survived by his mother Caroline Jasper and 9 brothers and sisters: Joseph D Jasper Jr (Carolyn), Richard Jasper (Jamela), Lois Ann Hill, Gloria Jackson, Nancy Jasper, Carolyn Banks (Clinton), Joseph M. Jasper (Misty), George Jasper (Rosa), Daniel Jasper and a very special sister Lola Poles and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Services will be held Tuesday, February 13th, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Swift Ford Baptist Church, 20 Bohannon Rd, Madison, Va, 22727. Viewing will begin at 12 pm- 1 pm; service will begin at 1 pm
