James "Jamie" E. Meadows

James "Jamie" Meadows Jr.                               February 21, 2025 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of James “Jamie” Meadows Jr., who left us unexpectedly on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the ae of 36.   Jamie was born on November 1, 1988 at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. Jamie loved to play many sports. He played baseball for the Greene County All Stars and football for William Monroe Highschool. He enjoyed playing REC basketball and IU Hockey. His favorite thing to do was hunting and fishing, or anything that involved a motor. 

  He grew up in Greene County and graduated from William Monroe High School in 2007. He made many friends along the way. Jamie will be deeply missed for his kind, funny, and loving personality. 

 Jamie is survived by his fathers, James Edward Meadows, Sr.; mother, Barbara Ann Meadows; Twin siblings Jacob Bradley Meadows and Jennifer Ann Meadows. Also surviving are his two nephews, Brayden and Avery; and one niece, Revel; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville. A graveside service will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m.
