James (Uncle Jimmy) William Smith, 83 of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on July 21, 1940 to the late Kernie Smith and Lucy Elizabeth Woodward Weakley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Kernie Macarthur Smith and Russell Weakley.
He is survived by his nephew, Kenneth Smith (Wendy) of Culpeper; and brother, Steve Weakley of Madison.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, Va. with Pastor Ellis Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Criglersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
