"Christianity does not exempt one from death. It only ensures triumph over death, as there is no other way to of entrance into our Heavenly Father's House."
Mr. John E. Willams aka Bro, of Chesterfield, VA was called home to receive his wings on Sunday, November 12th at 2:00 PM EST. John had taken ill in March 2023. Before taking his last earthly breath, there by his bedside was his loving and dedicated wife, his son and other faithful family members. Mr. Williams was born November 17, 1956, in Richmond, VA.
John left behind his dedicated and nourishing wife of 31 years, Georgette Williams, and son Da'John Williams, all of Chesterfield. John and Georgette were married in 1992 at Trinity Baptist Church, where both continued served faithfully following their union.
John Willams, "Bro" affectionately called, lived a respectable and honest life.
Everyone that knew him had nothing but good things to say about him. John graduated from Job Corps with a masonry trade and was a 30 plus year employee for the Richmond Times Dispatch newspaper company where he worked in the printing room, as well as a forklift driver. John was a hard worker who worked every day until his illness with a stroke and heart attack. Still with some amputations to follow, John was a strong man. He was a family man and showed much love to all of his family and friends. He was always willing to do things for others and known to be punctual and dependable. John loved going on trips to visit family both far away and nearby. He especially looked forward to attending his annual family union for fellowship and fun. John loved football and was a huge Colts fan. He loved watching football games with his son Da 'John, and brothers, Keith, and Derek. John had a smile that would light up a room and always told jokes that would brighten up anyone's day.
John's wife stayed countless nights and days at the hospital sleeping in a chair to be close to him. The family, John, Deborah, Keith, Jonda, Derek, and Tanya bought her food daily if she wanted it and sometimes when she did not want it.
John lived a great loving life serving the Lord. The Williams Family is a very close-knit family. John will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
John was preceded in death by his mother and father John E Williams, and Myrtle Williams. Sister Cheryl Bradley, a son John Williams, Jr. Also preceding him by death was his mother and father-in-law, George and Grace Williams.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I kept the Faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing." Il Timothy 4:7, 8.
