Joyce Marie Tressler                                 January 15, 2025 Joyce Marie Tressler, 80, of Stanardsville, Virginia, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Dogwood Village Rehabilation in Orange, Virginia.    Born October 28, 1944 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Martin Luther and Lida Mae Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Phyllis Colyer, of Bellefonte, PA, and brother Kenneth Wagner of LaVernia, Texas, and oldest son Brian Scott Tressler of Guyton, Georgia. 

 Joyce worked a Supelco Inc. in Bellefonte, PA until 1985 until she relocated to Standardsville, Virginia. She then worked for Tiger Fuel Company in Charlottesville, Virginia, until 2001. Then in 2003 she worked for WalMart Distribution center in Gordonsville, Virginia, as an accounting clerk, until her retirement in 2013. Joyce especially enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Joyce loved to travel, especially to beach destinations.

 Joyce is survived by her children, Richard Lee Tressler(Elvia) of Edinburg, Texas, Todd Andrew Tressler(Rachel) of Dagus Mines, Pennsylvania, and Amy Leigh Tressler of Stanardsville, Virginia. Grandchildren, Alexa Peeples(Kevin) of San Antonio, Texas, Krista Tressler(Scott Poppell) of Savannah, Georgia, Andrea Gamez(Eddie) of San Antonio, Texas, Alyssa Tressler of Sedro-Wolley, Washington and Sierra Kathryn Irving of Stanardsville, Virginia. Joyce also had 5 great- grandchildren, Allyson Layne D’Arrigo(Alexa), Olivia Lee Gamez(Andrea), Harper James Poppell(Krista), Jolie Joyce Gamez(Andrea), Eduardo Gamez V(Andrea). Joyce is survived by brothers Ennis Wayne Wagner(Nancy) of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania and Kevin Lynn Wagner(Patty) of Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition, Joyce is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 The family of Joyce would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and Culpeper and the Dogwood Village Rehabilation Center, as well as the Hospice of the Piedmont.

 The family will have a memorial celebration of life on July 5, 2025 in Woodward, Pennsylvania, at the Methodist Church. Time will be announced at a later date. A private family ceremony will take place prior to the celebration of life for the interment of remains.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The Emily Couric Cancer Center at the University of Virginia, and Hospice of The Piedmont.
