Judy A. Howell

Judy Howell, 81, of Charlottesville, Va., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 4, 2024, with her husband by her side.

Judy was born May 16, 1942, daughter of the late Wiley Dorsey and June Dorsey. Judy loved crafting, painting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Gwen, of 60 years; her son Mike Howell; her sister Billie Howell; her grandchildren Eric and Amanda; her great grandchildren Jaedan, Cheyenne, and Axel; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Special thanks are given to caregivers Teresa Deane, Melanie Blosser, and Cydney Cashmyer.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm-2 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home, 201 N. 1st Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902. The funeral service will take place in the Hill and Wood Chapel at 2 pm and interment will follow at 3 pm at Holly Memorial Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
