Karen Marie Wood

Karen M Wood, 65, of Crozet Virginia passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023.
Karen was born October 24, 1957, in Charlottesville, Va. to Davis E. Garrison and Edith L. Garrison.

Karen is preceded in death by her father, Davis E. Garrison, and former husband of thirty years, Dale A. Wood.

Karen attended The Lake Road Church of God every Sunday until her health would no longer allow her to attend. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, and their families and keeping her grandchildren. She loved listening to her dad, uncles, and brother singing and playing gospel songs. Karen formally worked at ACME Visible Records in Crozet, VA until she became a stay-at-home mother to her and Dale’s three daughters.

Karen is survived by her mother Edith L Garrison; her devoted daughters and their families, Tonya Snead (Lee) of Amherst, VA., two sons Ryan, Trevor, (Kyndal); Jennifer Collier (Allen) of Greenwood, VA, three sons Devin (Skyler), Corey (Brianna) and Konner; Jessica Wood (Chris McDaniel) of Esmont, Va., four children Ian and Arianna Gibson, Vanessa and Nina Fisher; 2 great-grandchildren Waylon and Asher Collier; Siblings, Diane (Bobby) Horner, Beverly Ellinger (Mike Brown), Gary (Patty) Garrison, and Lois Chapman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday August 21, 2023, at Teague Funeral Service 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA, Funeral Service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Teague Funeral Service with interment following at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church (4527 Garth Road, Charlottesville, VA), with Pastor Brian Cadle officiating.
