Kenneth Durwin Brown

Kenneth Durwin Brown, 73, of Gordonsville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. 

Born February 21, 1951, he was the son of the late John Walter and Lelia Newton Brown of Buckingham, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy.

Mr. Brown is survived by his children with his first wife, Helen Anne Jenkins: Pamela and Doug West and children, Kasity and Lawrence Cawthorne and children, and Ryan Brown and daughters. Later in life, he welcomed and loved his wife Peggy's adult children: Don, Trish, Terri, Billy, Teresa, Troy, Eric, and Michelle, and their families. Mr. Brown is also survived by many nieces and nephews; a sister, Karla Rowzie; and his great grandchildren. He was also blessed with a close friend and caretaker, Danny Lloyd. The family would like to extend their thankfulness to the countless members of his medical team and special friends over the years.

Mr. Brown retired from Edgecomb Metals. From growing up in Buckingham on his family farm, he continued to love farming, Fords, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordonsville.
