Kitty Faye (Zimmerman) Sprouse

Kitty Faye (Zimmerman) Sprouse, 83, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born June 22, 1940 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Emmett and Evelyn (Willis) Zimmerman.

She retired after 60 years as a Credit Manager with Klann Organ Builders.

Kitty loved reading, watching movies and eating popcorn, shopping, spending time with her friends and family, and having her hair done each Thursday.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Fisher and her husband Douglas; and good friend, Barbara Ludwick.

Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Wayne L. Sprouse; children, Rhonda Whitmer and her husband Paul, Darrell Sprouse and his wife Tiffany, all of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Connor Jarvis (Emily), Camden Jarvis and his wife Ly, Cadlee Jarvis, and “Miss Maddie” Sprouse, Adrianna Myers and her husband Austin, and Nic Whitmer; great-grandchildren, Lilly and Laney Myers; sister, Rita “Cookie” Greene and her husband Gerald; brother-in-law, Warren Sprouse and his wife Mary; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Millie Cason, Sandy and Barry Hooker, Shelby Burnett, Twinkle Patterson, and Debbie Hensley.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2024 at McDow Funeral Home.
