Kolby Allen Powell

Kolby Allen Powell, a beloved son, brother, father, partner and friend passed away on May 26, 2024 in Wingina, Virginia.

He was born on July 30, 1997 in Fishersville, Virginia. Kolby was preceded in death by his father, Michael Wayne Powell, as well as his paternal grandparents, Russell and Margie Powell.

Kolby dedicated his professional life to Mather’s Construction Company, where he worked diligently and with passion. Outside of work, Kolby found solace and enjoyment in his hobbies of hunting and fishing with friends and family. Nature provided him with a sense of peace and tranquility that he carried with him always.

He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Autumn Evans, and his children, Braxxton Powell, Adlee Powell, Kenden Powell, and his bonus child, Novah Vest. Kolby's dedication to his family was unwavering, and his children brought him immeasurable pride and joy. He will forever be their guiding light and guardian angel. In addition to his immediate family, Kolby is survived by his mother, Rhonda Fitzgerald, and his siblings, Tyler Scott, Virginia Powell and Aubree along with his maternal grandparents Carolyn and Al Wheeler and Butch Deming, numerous Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.   

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Kolby's life will be held at Mountain View Mennonite Church on Love Road in Lyndhurst, VA on May 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM, we would appreciate all family and friends to meet at McDow funeral home in Waynesboro by 10:30 am for the funeral procession.

Active pallbearers will be Cotey Mitts, Jon Gordon, Tyler Scott, Jeremy Strain, Dakota Miller and Chris Taylor.

A meal will be provided at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren in Crimora, Virginia following service.
