Linda Sue Andrews

Linda Sue Andrews, 81, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died peacefully at home on March 14, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Linda was born in Washington, DC, the daughter of John H. Warfel and Helen Warfel (Mathews). She grew up in Orlando, Florida, and graduated from Florida State University. After working in medical laboratories for many years, marrying her beloved husband Dale, and taking time off to raise children, Linda obtained her doctorate from Louisiana State University. She worked in seafood safety research for many years and retired from Mississippi State University. In retirement, Linda most enjoyed worshipping and serving at the Gautier Presbyterian Church as an Elder, as well as beautifying her community with the Gautier Garden Club. Linda also loved spending time with family and pets, following current events and could be found many days golfing with Dale and friends. She will always be remembered for her sharp wit, strong will, and fierce love.

She is survived by her children Beth and David, son-in-law Greg, and grandsons Ross and Sam. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale L. Andrews and brother Robert M. Warfel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations or gifts be directed to Gautier Presbyterian Church or the Gautier Garden Club (both in Gautier, Mississippi).
