It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Wilson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who left us peacefully on January 14th, 2025. Lisa was born in Charlottesville, VA, the cherished daughter of Harry and Marilyn Whiting of Crozet, VA. As the youngest of three sisters, she was a treasured member of the Whiting family, alongside her sisters, Sandra Marie Mears and Marilyn Veronica Whiting
.
Lisa's love for life and dedication to others were evident in everything she did. She earned an associate’s degree in accounting, yet her true passion lay in the culinary world. Lisa found joy and fulfillment in bartending and food services, where she shared her love for cooking and hospitality with all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her warmth, creativity, and generosity touched many, making her a beloved figure in the community.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marilyn Whiting. Lisa leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her memory. She is survived by her devoted husband, Matthew Wade Morse, her daughters, Landria Wilson and Katrina Wilson, her son Orlando Wilson Jr. and her bonus children Madison Morse, and Gabe Morse, Christopher Wilson and her precious grandchildren, Japrince Jackson, Penelope Eason, and Nyzeal Bell. She also leaves behind her niece, Sandra “Boo” Hughes, and nephews Clarence "CJ" Hughes and Edmund “Eddie”Hillery, all of whom she loved dearly.
Lisa’s legacy will live on through the family and friends who were touched by her warmth, humor, and generous spirit. She was a light in the lives of those around her, and her memory will forever be cherished.
The service will be held in her honor on the 1st of February, 2025 at 1 PM at Piedmont Baptist Church, 596 Half Mile Branch Road, Crozet, Virginia 22932.
Lisa will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
